As of January 1, 2024, covered Illinois employers are required to provide their full-time, part-time, and temporary employees up to 40 hours of paid leave per year, to be used for “any purpose” under the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA).
Employers are required to display the PLAWA poster with other required IDOL posters and to include it in a written document, such as an employee manual, by March 31, 2024.
