URGENT: EMPLOYERS ARE REQUIRED TO POST NOTICE OF EMPLOYEE SICK LEAVE RIGHTS
As a part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”), all employees with 500 or less employees must now provide sick leave and expanded family and medical leave to full time and part time employees due to COVID-19. In addition to providing this sick leave, it is required that the employer post and keep posted until December 31, 2020 a notice to employees regarding sick leave and expanded family and medical leave. Employers should post it where they normally post notices to employees (where you post your minimum wage posters).
The U.S. Department of Labor has created the official notice posting which can be found at the link below:
In addition to posting the Department of Labor Poster, the employer should notify employees of the new provisions by directing them to the new required posting by the U.S. Department of Labor.
