Bill Ranard and Ryan Armour of AGHL LLC’s medical malpractice litigation group obtained a not guilty verdict on behalf of an obstetrician-gynecologist

On March 25, 2022, following a two-week trial, Bill Ranard and Ryan Armour of Allen Galluzzo Hevrin & Leake LLC’s medical malpractice litigation group obtained a not guilty verdict on behalf of an obstetrician-gynecologist.  Plaintiff alleged that the defendant physician had improperly worked up her vaginal cyst, which caused her to injure the bladder during the procedure to remove the cyst, ultimately resulting in a second surgery to repair the bladder and subsequent formation of deep venous thromboses and pulmonary emboli that required transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for emergent bilateral embolectomies.  The jury deliberated for 3.5 hours before returning a not guilty verdict.
