Illinois OSHA Has Adopted the Federal Rules Regarding Mandatory Vaccines/Testing

Update:

“On January 13, 2022, the Supreme Court upheld the CMS vaccine mandate for Medicare and Medicaid certified providers, but struck down the federal OSHA vaccine/testing mandate for large employers.  Since the Illinois OSHA vaccine/testing mandate adopted the federal OSHA mandate, the Illinois mandate is likely no longer in effect.  We recommend that large employers continue to follow state updates that may be forthcoming.  Please contact one of our labor and employment attorneys with questions regarding applicability and/or compliance.”
